Lachung HEP

Lachung Hydro Electric Project is located on the Shargophulchu Khola in the North Sikkim and Project was commissioned on January 2009. Project has two units of 1.5 MW each with a total capacity of 3 MW.

Project consist of a Trench weir, desilting basin, 1685 m long 900 mm dia water conductor, 2.5 M dia surge shaft, one no. 600- 900 mm dia penstock and a surface power house with 2 x 1500 kW horizontal Pelton turbine.
