Rongli HEP

Rongli Hydro Electric Project is located on Rongli stream at a distance of about 60km from Gangtok in East Sikkim and Project was commissioned on October 2013. Project has two units of 2.5 MW each with a total capacity of 5 MW.

Project consist of a Trench weir, desilting basin, 2194 m long 1.80 m dia head race pipe, and 1296/914 mm dia 247 m long penstock and a surface power house with 2 x 2500 kW horizontal Francis turbine.
